Live In the Moment

And I wish I could remember what we ate, and what we talked about, and how they sounded, and how they looked when they slept that night. I wish I had not been in such a hurry to get on to the next thing: dinner, bath, book, bed. I wish I had treasured the doing a little more and the getting it done a little less” (Elder Ballard’s talk May, 2008 quote by Author Anna Quindlen speaking of her children)

- I put this on here to remind me to take time to enjoy the little things in life, or to enjoy the moments that make some of Life's Precious Memories.

Meredith and shoes

After I dressed Meredith this morning she walks over to the dresser and says, "I want shoes." Opens drawer, "hmm...this one."

I can't believe how much she says. She says about as much as Emily does, sometimes I wonder if she talks more. I'm hoping we'll be able to get Emily into preschool soon (they won't even test her until the first part of March!) and then maybe we'll be able to talk more. I don't want Emily to go to school, especially so early, but she needs something to get her to finally talk to us. She is able to get away with just one or two words to tell us what she needs. We're trying not to let her get away with that anymore, but I'm not sure if any of it is sinking in.
