Live In the Moment

And I wish I could remember what we ate, and what we talked about, and how they sounded, and how they looked when they slept that night. I wish I had not been in such a hurry to get on to the next thing: dinner, bath, book, bed. I wish I had treasured the doing a little more and the getting it done a little less” (Elder Ballard’s talk May, 2008 quote by Author Anna Quindlen speaking of her children)

- I put this on here to remind me to take time to enjoy the little things in life, or to enjoy the moments that make some of Life's Precious Memories.

Zoo with friends

I've been so bad about blogging that I just can't remember when we went to the zoo with our friends. It seems like it was a couple of months ago. (Could it have been that long, REALLY!?!)

The kids in front of the panther.

Which one looks most scary?! Just kidding!!! This is a Caiman or a miniature crocodile. My kids love it. Sometimes they are hard to find, but this one was just PERFECTLY posed. Best picture I've ever been able to take of this animal.
Sometimes the monkeys that actually belong in the zoo don't provide some very great acrobatics, but the kids can more than make up for it. So silly.
It must have still been relatively warm when we went, because Rebecca looks hot. She wanted out with the rest of the kids, but I think it was hot enough for her to not put up too much of a fight about staying in the stroller.

It's always fun to go to the zoo with friends. Hopefully I'll get the pictures off my camera soon and post the pictures of the latest zoo trip with Daddy.

Yogurt & Our First Time Bowling

Rebecca LOVES yogurt. I didn't actually give it to her. I mean, I buckled her in, poured the yogurt in the bowl and ran off to help the older girls with something thinking I had left the yogurt out of her reach. Um...Ooops. But she liked it!

Here are some pictures from Emily and Meredith's first time bowling. They LOVED it! We went bowling back in July when we came to Utah. Thank you to our friends for going with us!

Photo Shoot at Temple

Here are a few of the pictures that I took at the temple. My cousin was sealed in the temple to her sweetheart a few weeks ago. I asked Nathan if he felt up to bringing the girls to see the pretty bride come out of the temple. I didn't think he was going to do it, but he did! We had fun taking pictures with the girls afterward. He did pretty well dressing them, didn't he.

She was coming for me. She's a MOMMA's girl. She woke up at 2:30 a couple nights ago. Nathan went to get her, but she wouldn't fall asleep until she had Mommy. I just love these little arms reaching for me.

Donuts

For Christmas we received a donut maker and some cute aprons. The aprons we use a lot of and they were dirty while we were doing this. (Much to my dismay.) The first time Nathan tried the donut maker the donuts were...(sorry, Nathan)...disgusting. Not that it was his fault. I just didn't like the recipe. So, try, try again. I tried a chocolate recipe that I found online with a chocolate glaze. Mmmmm. Much better. The girls and I enjoyed them.

Meredith! Yuck! Go wash your hands.

Zoo With Old Friends

We went with our friends to the Zoo in March. It's almost been 2 months and I'm just now getting around to posting it. Um...I don't know what to say. But, blogging is my favorite form of journaling and I need to do better.

The girls just loved holding my this little girl's hands. It was more like a game at the beginning.

Here's "Happy". I was trying to show her the ducks. She was just chillin in the stroller.

And shortly after she fell asleep with her water bottle.

I just loved these two pictures that we got. And that of course is Meredith, vying for the center of attention.

World's Best Daddy

Here's Daddy reading "Fancy Nancy" and "Pinkalicious" to his girls. Rebecca's idea of storytime is eating the book and the other two girls love "Fancy Nancy" and "Pinkalicious". At one point in "Pinkalicious" the Mommy asks the little girl what color she wants to make the frosting for her cupcakes the girl replies, and so do my girls as the story is being told, "Pink, Pink, PINK!" As you can see, that's got to be the world's best daddy to read that over and over again. :)

Posing in a Red Bucket

Rebecca thought this was such fun for the first few minutes.
Adorable baby girl. I just had to add a little bow to take her picture.
With the sisters.
And then Meredith was done.

Playing Gator Golf

Meredith wanted to play with the baby so she brought Gator Golf to her. They were so cute "playing" together.

Making Pizza

Making dinner together. Such good little helpers.
The girls love making food with Nathan and me. We love having little helpers.

I'm Late, I'm Late, I'm Late

The song from Alice and Wonderland comes to mind right now. That's just what life feels like right now. Hopefully I will get all of the pictures I took during the holidays on the blog.

In the meantime...I got some CTR or "Choose The Right" rings for the girls. They loved them. I told them what they meant, the lady at the store told them what they meant, and I reminded them again in the car. I still wasn't sure if it had stuck that it's supposed to remind them to "Choose The Right" and that means to be nice, etc. Then Meredith was being kind of ornery (yes, it happens) and Emily says, "I'm taking my 'CTR' ring off because Meredith is not 'Choosing the Right'." So then of course I try the next 10 minutes to tell her that the ring is supposed to remind HER to "Choose The Right" not anyone else.

Dress Ups

So, the girls have expanded their horizons to dressing up...the stuffed animals
...and the baby. And she's a pretty good sport about it too.

Entertaining the Baby

The girls asked me to dance. So they put on their dresses, I turn on "Carnival of the Animals" and the girls dance for the baby. Oh, I love having some entertainment for the baby.

Then the music turned off. Rebecca still liked having them to look at.

Yesterday I told Rebecca, "hey bubs."
Emily: She's not a "bubs" she's a baby.
Me: She is a baby.
Emily: Yah. She's a "Pumpkin"
Meredith: Yah. She looks like a "Pumpkin"
Emily: "Hey bubs."
I guess I do call her "Pumpkin" alot.
