Live In the Moment

And I wish I could remember what we ate, and what we talked about, and how they sounded, and how they looked when they slept that night. I wish I had not been in such a hurry to get on to the next thing: dinner, bath, book, bed. I wish I had treasured the doing a little more and the getting it done a little less” (Elder Ballard’s talk May, 2008 quote by Author Anna Quindlen speaking of her children)

- I put this on here to remind me to take time to enjoy the little things in life, or to enjoy the moments that make some of Life's Precious Memories.

Emily's Dress-ups and Halloween Costume

The girls and I went to the thrift store today. We had some great finds. I found part of the Anne of Green Gables collection. So now I have 3 of the books. And most importantly two Amelia Bedelia books. I have some great childhood memories of reading those books.

Then there is my real prize. Two dress-ups for Emily for $5.99 each. They are regularly $20 bucks at the store. One Snow White and the other Cinderella. I'm so excited. Emily cried about the first dress, I think because it was itchy. So, I put on an undershirt and gave her a sucker to make her stop crying and took a picture. Of course, I wasn't about to take the sucker away, so the pictures are with the sucker.
