Live In the Moment

And I wish I could remember what we ate, and what we talked about, and how they sounded, and how they looked when they slept that night. I wish I had not been in such a hurry to get on to the next thing: dinner, bath, book, bed. I wish I had treasured the doing a little more and the getting it done a little less” (Elder Ballard’s talk May, 2008 quote by Author Anna Quindlen speaking of her children)

- I put this on here to remind me to take time to enjoy the little things in life, or to enjoy the moments that make some of Life's Precious Memories.

My Big Girl and the Haircut

Meredith loves being forward facing. (And you can see Emily's new haircut.)

"Look, look" she says. (Discovering the world FF.)

I gave in. Sunday I put Meredith in her car seat and she was so scrunched up. It was like she had a huge growth spurt all of the sudden. It's been getting just a little tight and then Sunday she almost had to sit Indian style to sit in her car seat. I really wanted to let her stay rear facing till 18 months since it is much safer, but I think there is a limit to how scrunched you can make them. So, I turned the car seat around. Meredith LOVES it! She and Emily were pointing at different things and saying "look, look". When we stopped at a red light I turned around and took a picture. And of course you can see Emily's famous haircut. Emily has been a hard nut to crack lately (getting her to smile) so I have to do some pretty outrageous things to get those girls to smile.

So FUN! Parker doesn't say anywords yet, so that is cute : ) Parker just got switched to forward facing this week. He was so squished that he would fight every time I tried to put him in his seat. Emily's haircut doesn't look too bad- I wonder if I will have to worry about Parker trying to cut his hair... ; )
