Live In the Moment

And I wish I could remember what we ate, and what we talked about, and how they sounded, and how they looked when they slept that night. I wish I had not been in such a hurry to get on to the next thing: dinner, bath, book, bed. I wish I had treasured the doing a little more and the getting it done a little less” (Elder Ballard’s talk May, 2008 quote by Author Anna Quindlen speaking of her children)

- I put this on here to remind me to take time to enjoy the little things in life, or to enjoy the moments that make some of Life's Precious Memories.

Zoo with My Family

My family came to visit us for a day and while they were here we went to the Zoo. Emily couldn't wait until Uncle Matthew got there. We sort of missed getting a picture of Emily feeding the Giraffes. I'm going to have to keep going to the zoo until I finally get a picture of the girls feeding the giraffe.

Just for the record, I'm not afraid of snakes. For the most part. In New Mexico they have a Rattlesnake pit and when you walk near the pit all of the snakes start rattling. That would give anyone goosebumps. And just in case you have any nerve left after that you put a balloon on the end of a fishing pole and you stick the balloon into the pit and the snakes pop it. I'm told that they have a little program where a man gets into a sleeping bag with several rattlesnakes in there. Just an interesting thing. This snake was not poisonous and Emily enjoys petting the snakes that we see at the zoo.

Here's just a cute picture in front of a giraffe that's really stretching to get that one leaf, if he can.

Ring-a-round the Rosies

And a cute pose in front of the Elephant.
