Live In the Moment

And I wish I could remember what we ate, and what we talked about, and how they sounded, and how they looked when they slept that night. I wish I had not been in such a hurry to get on to the next thing: dinner, bath, book, bed. I wish I had treasured the doing a little more and the getting it done a little less” (Elder Ballard’s talk May, 2008 quote by Author Anna Quindlen speaking of her children)

- I put this on here to remind me to take time to enjoy the little things in life, or to enjoy the moments that make some of Life's Precious Memories.

25 Days of Christmas Begins!

Tonight the girls and I did the first day of the 25 days of Christmas. We pretended we were Wise Men on our Camels (using of course the wise men and camels from our nativity scenes) looking for the Baby Jesus. Then we made a 25 days of Christmas chain. I figure that we could switch off and one child tear off the paper chain and the other do the advent calendar. We're just sad that our Daddy couldn't join us today, but he gets to go to his sister's wedding We're excited that he gets to go and we're excited for his sister.

I have at least the first 11 days of Christmas done, and now I'm just finishing up the rest of them. I definitely see this as an evolving thing. Next years' will probably be different. I posted it on my FHE Blog
