Live In the Moment

And I wish I could remember what we ate, and what we talked about, and how they sounded, and how they looked when they slept that night. I wish I had not been in such a hurry to get on to the next thing: dinner, bath, book, bed. I wish I had treasured the doing a little more and the getting it done a little less” (Elder Ballard’s talk May, 2008 quote by Author Anna Quindlen speaking of her children)

- I put this on here to remind me to take time to enjoy the little things in life, or to enjoy the moments that make some of Life's Precious Memories.

Gila Valley Temple Trip

The Gila Valley Temple - not the best pic, I know, but why take a really nice picture when you can just go onto lds.org and get a fabulous picture of it.

I took this picture of the girls before we got out of the car to go to the temple. There were no cameras allowed on the tour. Interestingly, I did see one or two. And of course we could have, and should have, stopped to take a family picture in front of the temple after the tour, but we didn't. Here's the one fairly cooperative picture the girls took.

One pretty smile out of Meredith. Emily was not interested in photo taking.

The wonderful 2-year-old cheese.

This picture was while we were at the motel. Grandma gave the girls a new little quiet book and Meredith quickly claimed it.

We got to go last Tuesday. It was so fun taking the kids. I was amazed how reverent they were. I liked holding Melanie up in front of the mirrors with me in the sealing room. Didn't know you have family down there too. Allan's grandma lives there.

Actually, Nathan's grandma is from there. She just wanted to visit and see some of the sites. Like where she was born and raised, her old school, where she was baptized, different graves, etc. Although, if Allen's grandma has lived there all of her life, she probably knows Nathan's grandma in some way.

I don't know if she is actually from there or not, but I do know they have lived there a lonnnng time. Allan's dad was raised there.
