Live In the Moment

And I wish I could remember what we ate, and what we talked about, and how they sounded, and how they looked when they slept that night. I wish I had not been in such a hurry to get on to the next thing: dinner, bath, book, bed. I wish I had treasured the doing a little more and the getting it done a little less” (Elder Ballard’s talk May, 2008 quote by Author Anna Quindlen speaking of her children)

- I put this on here to remind me to take time to enjoy the little things in life, or to enjoy the moments that make some of Life's Precious Memories.

It's a...

boy!? We tried one of the gender tests, but they don't seem to be very reliable. The baby is coming this summer and we're very excited be it boy or girl. :) The due date is July 1st.

Child Proof

What I've learned from child #2...there's no such thing as "child proof". Meredith can get into anything. There is no such thing as child proofed. Medicine caps, door handles, refrigerators, you-name-it, can not be child proofed against this kid. Here's my proof. Enjoy. :)

2-year-olds Say the Cutest Things

We went to spend a fun, yummy (yummy pizza) time with extended family on Sunday. Afterward we went to go look at Christmas lights and drove by the temple. When Meredith saw the temple she says, "Santa Claus is coming to the temple and then coming to my house!" So cute!

Yesterday Meredith asked Aunt Candy (Mandy) for some cake.
Mandy: Jennifer, can Meredith have some cheesecake?
Me: Did she eat her food?
G-ma: No
Me: No
Mandy: Mommy said no.
Meredith: Mommy said no, oh. Grandma?

(Stinker)

Every morning since we've been here.
*Way too early in the morning.
Meredith: Mommy, I'm awake!
Me: Great.

5 Years

Nathan and I celebrated our anniversary last night, the 21st. Our actual anniversary was on the 18th, but Nathan had a report to write and I was helping decorate for my sister's reception.

What I've found after 5 years of marriage. I can't wait to spend an eternity with Nathan. :)

Under Construction

For those that actually go blog hopping (I prefer just using my google reader), please realize that the blog is under construction. Yes, I know it clashes horribly. I'm going to take the girls out and snap pictures in their Christmas dresses. Now, if I can just find the time...

Santa Claus is Coming to Town!

This year our family has been doing a LOT of Christmas singing. Jingle Bells being one of their favorites and I hear them just walking around the house singing Jingle Bells. Emily is also joining me on the piano playing the part I used to play when I was a little girl with my mom (two notes that are supposed to sound like sleigh bells through half the song.) I can't tell you how ecstatic I am! Emily is so excited to do it with me. She still needs a little help. :)And when she's not playing with me she's singing along.

Meredith and I went shopping while Emily was at preschool. (It's wonderful to get Christmas shopping done with only one child.) While we were at the store we were walking through the Christmas isles and she says, "Christmas trees! Santa Claus is coming to town!" So cute! She and I have had some great conversations while shopping. 2-year-olds are hilarious when they can say so much.

Meredith's Fashion Sense

Meredith and I went to the store today while Emily was at preschool. We started walking down the shoe isle and all the sudden she yells, "Maya!" I look over to where she was looking and sure enough...there were the same shoes her friend Maya wore yesterday!

I think I'm in trouble.
