Live In the Moment

And I wish I could remember what we ate, and what we talked about, and how they sounded, and how they looked when they slept that night. I wish I had not been in such a hurry to get on to the next thing: dinner, bath, book, bed. I wish I had treasured the doing a little more and the getting it done a little less” (Elder Ballard’s talk May, 2008 quote by Author Anna Quindlen speaking of her children)

- I put this on here to remind me to take time to enjoy the little things in life, or to enjoy the moments that make some of Life's Precious Memories.

Santa Claus is Coming to Town!

This year our family has been doing a LOT of Christmas singing. Jingle Bells being one of their favorites and I hear them just walking around the house singing Jingle Bells. Emily is also joining me on the piano playing the part I used to play when I was a little girl with my mom (two notes that are supposed to sound like sleigh bells through half the song.) I can't tell you how ecstatic I am! Emily is so excited to do it with me. She still needs a little help. :)And when she's not playing with me she's singing along.

Meredith and I went shopping while Emily was at preschool. (It's wonderful to get Christmas shopping done with only one child.) While we were at the store we were walking through the Christmas isles and she says, "Christmas trees! Santa Claus is coming to town!" So cute! She and I have had some great conversations while shopping. 2-year-olds are hilarious when they can say so much.
