Live In the Moment

And I wish I could remember what we ate, and what we talked about, and how they sounded, and how they looked when they slept that night. I wish I had not been in such a hurry to get on to the next thing: dinner, bath, book, bed. I wish I had treasured the doing a little more and the getting it done a little less” (Elder Ballard’s talk May, 2008 quote by Author Anna Quindlen speaking of her children)

- I put this on here to remind me to take time to enjoy the little things in life, or to enjoy the moments that make some of Life's Precious Memories.

Daddy's Way of Putting Baby to Sleep

Nathan and I were just talking while he was holding the baby. She was staring down the pliers that he was playing with until she just fell asleep. I thought it was darling.

You see what I mean when I say that I don't really look like the Mommy. All 3 of my girls look SO much like daddy. I don't mind too much, I think they're all adorable (including the daddy). But really, I wouldn't mind too badly if Rebecca wanted to keep her dark hair like Mommy. :)

Trip to Visit Our Utah Family

Getting Grandpa to be wrapped around her little finger.
We loved playing at Chuck-e-Cheese with our cousins, but for some reason Meredith decided to be afraid of the rides, so Daddy had to hold her hand.
Don't be fooled by this picture. Daddy is just barely out of this picture.
Playing some more with cousins. I took this picture because I thought it was interesting watching them play together. You could almost think they were twins from the back.

Here's Rebecca's close to current way to be mobile. She will get up on all 4's and lunge for what she wants. She's beginning to get some more coordination for actually crawling, but she's not quite there yet.

Yummy Smile

The Nathan Twyman family smile. All of my baby's do this and have these cute little chubby cheeks to go with it. (All the better to KISS!) Mmmm. Yummy cheeks.

Yummy cell phone.

Getting Mobile

She found out how to get around before we left on our Christmas vacation. She would roll around and kind of scoot herself to it. It wasn't extremely efficient, but effective some of the time. This was at 4 1/2 months. (She's in 6-9 month clothing. It was a little big, but fit well enough.)

She had started from the middle of her room.

Peas

I'll try some of that.

You call this food!
I really don't think I like this.
Yuck! I really don't like this.
I love you still. But perhaps not your taste in food.

And that is how she discovered she did NOT like peas. We'll try again later. Maybe she'll change her mind.

I'm Late, I'm Late, I'm Late

The song from Alice and Wonderland comes to mind right now. That's just what life feels like right now. Hopefully I will get all of the pictures I took during the holidays on the blog.

In the meantime...I got some CTR or "Choose The Right" rings for the girls. They loved them. I told them what they meant, the lady at the store told them what they meant, and I reminded them again in the car. I still wasn't sure if it had stuck that it's supposed to remind them to "Choose The Right" and that means to be nice, etc. Then Meredith was being kind of ornery (yes, it happens) and Emily says, "I'm taking my 'CTR' ring off because Meredith is not 'Choosing the Right'." So then of course I try the next 10 minutes to tell her that the ring is supposed to remind HER to "Choose The Right" not anyone else.
