Live In the Moment

And I wish I could remember what we ate, and what we talked about, and how they sounded, and how they looked when they slept that night. I wish I had not been in such a hurry to get on to the next thing: dinner, bath, book, bed. I wish I had treasured the doing a little more and the getting it done a little less” (Elder Ballard’s talk May, 2008 quote by Author Anna Quindlen speaking of her children)

- I put this on here to remind me to take time to enjoy the little things in life, or to enjoy the moments that make some of Life's Precious Memories.

2011 Christmas Pics

Meredith standing next to our Christmas Tree.

Meredith playing with our Christmas toys at home.

The crowns were one of Emily and Meredith's favorite gifts.

Emily wanted a crown, a heart necklace, and a ctr ring. She found the heart necklace and a ctr ring in a jewelry box Nathan picked up for both of the girls while he was in China.

A new piggy bank was what Meredith wanted. She spotted the Tangled Piggy Bank at Disneyland.

Rebecca sitting on Daddy's lap while he's opening his present. She loves to carry around dolls and stuffed animals. She got her second dolly from Santa for Christmas (cuz around here one is just not enough!)

The girls checking out the stuff from Santa. I took a few blurry pictures before I realized my camera was on the wrong setting!!!

This was before Christmas. I love seeing Meredith hug her present.

The girls opening up their dresses.

Last of the Disneyland Pics

Girls posing in the Teacup.

Riding in the Teacups. I LOVED watching the girls faces.

The Carousel - that we still talk about. Go figure.

Group Picture minus 1 Grandpa...someone had to take the picture.

Posing in front of the Rabbit's Door. (The Rabbit from Alice and Wonderland)

I believe this is from Star Tours? Apparently they use a picture from the group to be the "bad guy" and up pops Dallin's face. So sad I missed THAT!

Buzz Lightyear @ California Adventure
Thank you! Grandma and Grandpa. We had so much fun.

Disneyland Pics Cont.

One picture of our family together in front of the huge Christmas Tree at the Main Entrance at Disneyland.

Here are our faces earlier in the day. We're bright eyed and bushy tailed.

Rebecca and I found Goofy's house while the rest of the crew went to ride Gadget's Go-Coaster.

The slide at Goofy's House. (This ride saved me because Rebecca was exhausted and GRRRumpy.)

In Toon Town, right where they belong. :)

After partying all day...what else do you expect?

A Bug's Land

We went to "It's Tough to Be a Bug" first in A Bug's Land, but the girls did NOT like it. It scared them. It was a 3D movie that had the effects of water and air to seem more lifelike. Not a plus with my girls. Luckily for us the other rides were a blast.

Emily and Meredith's favorite ride in "A Bug's Land" at California Adventure.
Tuck and Roll's Drive'Em Buggies

(Meredith and Emily are both in this picture.)

Heimlich's Chew Chew Train
Rebecca enjoyed this ride...but it wasn't her favorite. It was a cute ride.

Francis' Ladybug Boogie
Rebecca's FAVORITE ride. I loved her reaction to this ride.

Flik's Flyers
The first ride we tried in Bug's Land (my pictures are backwards). I thought for sure this would be Rebecca's favorite ride and I was pleasantly surprised by her super cute reaction to the ladybug ride later.

We all enjoyed.

Disneyland Pics 1

Here are the girls on their first ride in Disneyland. We weren't quite prepared. I put one pair of shoes on Rebecca and she was 1/4" too short. Luckily Nathan talked me into at least bringing her other shoes that were normal tennis shoes. She made it, but by the time we got in line we had a 10 minute wait between us and the rest of the group. Disneyland is crazy like that.

Rebecca on Winnie the Pooh. The ride is WAY too loud. But, Rebecca and I still enjoyed it.

My FAVORITE ride. "It's a Small World". I love how Rebecca would just sit on my lap, relax and just enjoy.

3 Cooperative Picture takers...minus 1.
